In the past few years, I've realized I'm a person that doesn't need "stuff." Sure it's nice, and I like nice new things, but I when it comes to making a Christmas list or a birthday list.... I draw a blank.
I know I don't need more things in my life... more clutter.
What I want is experiences. Let's go somewhere, let's do something. I don't want another gadget on my counter. I want a LIFE. I want memories.
Do you ever feel this way? Like you want more than what society tells you is acceptable to wish for?
Were you hoping for more than the predictable, safe life you've cultured? Were you thinking surely.... SURELY there had to be more to it than this?? Why didn't they tell you it was gonna be so boring and dull and.... lifeless?
"There has to be more than this."
This was something I used to say to myself for years. I was overworked, underpaid, exhausted, and always trying to make ends meet.
When was it supposed to get better? How do you get to the more "comfortable" stage and how long does that take?
I realized I had to quit waiting.
I had to stop hoping for things to get better and start taking my life into my own hands. Just like my lack of a Christmas list, I had to stop settling for the sacred cows of life that were just expected.
And when I did? It. Was. Amazing.
Seriously, it was nothing short of mind blowing.
Making the decision to take control and start making your own money in your own way is THE MOST empowering thing you can ever do.
Was it scary? Totally.
Did I know what to do first? Not even a clue.
But the "hows" are not up to you.
What is up to you is being willing to DECIDE and face your fear and step out in faith that the voice inside of you is more than just a voice. It's your meaning in life. It's your destiny to fulfill.
It's NOT just a dream.
If that's the voice inside of you, it's time to take a risk.
It's time to buck up and validate the small whisper in your heart. You know you were meant for more. You KNOW it can't be this way for the remaining decades of your life.... because you know it's not enough.
So what are you going to do about it?
I'd love to hear your next steps :)
